Why Do Yoga

While some people think of yoga simply as physical exercise, it is actually a complete, holistic system for overall health and well-being. “Yoga is a lifestyle.” It’s known as the path to both physical and mental well-being. It includes everything from physical postures and healthy diet to breathing, relaxation and meditation skills. The most advanced forms of meditation and self-realization are also a part of yoga. Yoga aims to work the body equally and unite the body with mind and spirit, it is often considered therapeutic, as it helps people find harmony and release stress. Breathing and concentration are fundamental part of yoga.

Yoga effectively strengthens and tones the body, increases flexibility, improves balance, and relieves stress. However, the most significant benefits of yoga asanas come from their profound effects on the internal systems of the body. By bending, stretching, twisting, and flexing in the various postures, you bathe your internal organs with oxygenated blood, also known as “life force energy” or “chi.”
